About PNE

The PNE is a non-profit organization based in Vancouver, British Columbia that has a long-standing legacy of capturing the charm and spirit of the city while also raising funds to support important community programs. The PNE uses the revenue raised through the Prize Home Lottery to benefit various arts, agriculture, sports, and community-building initiatives in the city of Vancouver and its neighbouring areas.

Situated just 25 minutes away from Whistler, the PNE Prize Home will be relocated to Sunstone’s neighbourhood development in Pemberton, British Columbia. A special feature of the prize home is that it’s a net zero-ready home that produces as much energy as it consumes. Constructed with special attention to detail and exquisite workmanship, the prize home is sure to make the lucky winner very happy!

Creative Door’s Involvement

This year’s PNE Prize Home is a beautiful 3,188 square foot modern home in a prime mountainside location, and Creative Door™ is proud to supply and install a garage door and opener for the fourth consecutive year for this exciting dream home initiative.

This modern home is enhanced by the addition of a Wayne Dalton model 8300 classic steel modern garage door that elevates the house’s exterior from cookie-cutter to remarkable. The flush contemporary style of the garage door perfectly complements the modern style of the home. The addition of the vertically aligned windows on the garage door also adds a touch of elegance and allows natural light to enter the garage.

Constructed of two layers of steel and insulation, this thermally efficient garage door helps to reduce the home’s energy bill. The door is also extremely durable and damage-resistant with tamper-resistant safety bottom brackets to keep family members safe.

Don’t Forget the Opener

Creative Door Services™ was also proud to partner with Genie to supply a Genie model 4124 garage door opener with 140V DC motor and soft start and stop control. The operator also has Aladdin Connect, which is a smart device connection system that allows the homeowner to operate the garage door using his/her smartphone. The PNE Prize Home is a worthy cause in which to contribute, and Creative Door Services™ is thrilled to have played a role in this initiative yet again.
