Wireless Keypads

All Genie garage door openers are compatible with the brand’s wireless keypads. Keypads give you convenient access to your garage from the exterior without the need for a remote or key. You simply put in a code and the door will open. Genie’s keypads are backlit so you can easily see the numbers and they include a flip-up cover to protect the device from the elements. They’re also simple to install and easy to program.

Genie keypads feature the Intellicode Access Security System. This technology provides superior security by changing your opener’s access code every time you open your garage door. This prevents hackers from stealing the access code of your opener and gaining entry to your garage. This technology is also standard with Genie remotes.

Opener Remotes

When you buy a Genie garage door opener, it comes standard with a remote. However, some choose to upgrade their remote or get an additional one for another family member to use. Remotes provide instant access to the garage and, since they’re compact, they’re as convenient to have in your car as they are to carry in a purse or pocket. Remotes are also available with clips or lanyards.

Genie offers a number of remotes. These differ mainly in how many Genie systems they can link up with. There are:

• 1-button remotes that link up with a single Genie opener,
• 2-button remotes that link up with two openers (ideal for families with two single garages),
• 3-button remotes (ideal for families with three single garages)
• 4-button Universal remote by Genie that not only works with Genie openers but also with openers from most major brands. If you have openers from different brands, you can control all your garage doors with a single remote.

Genie has, moreover, several remotes with special features.

The Closed Confirm remote lets you to put your mind at ease on those occasions where you can’t remember if you closed the garage door. When the garage door reaches the closed position, this remote beeps and flashes green. ] When the door fails to close, it emits a warning tone and flashes red. The Genie Network Adaptor (a small device that plugs into your Genie opener) must be purchased alongside the Closed Confirm remote.

Genie’s 2-button LED flashlight remote comes equipped with a bright LED flashlight, allowing users to safely enter the garage after dark. This is an ideal option for people who carry their remote rather than keep it in their vehicle.

Wireless Access Through Your Smartphone

Genie’s Aladdin Connect technology allows you to control and monitor your garage door remotely using a smartphone application. In particular, the Aladdin Connect app allows you to:

• Open and close your garage door
• Check whether the door has been left open
• Receive optional alerts whenever the garage door is opened
• View a history of garage door activity that includes dates and times

In addition, the Aladdin Connect app allows you to give others virtual keys to your garage. These are keys that are issued to another person’s smartphone allowing them to access your garage door for a precise duration of time (for example, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on August 5 or every Monday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.). They can, moreover, be withdrawn at any time.

There are a number of scenarios in which Aladdin Connect Virtual Keys come in handy. For example, you can give a virtual key to your contractor during your renovations or to your dog-walker for the set days and hours of the week when they come to your home.

Aladdin Connect is integrated into certain Genie garage door openers including the Connected ProSeries Model 2128 and the ReliaG ProSeries 3120. A standalone device can be installed to make other Genie models compatible with Aladdin Connect.
