Linking your Aladdin Connect Account to your Google or Alexa account is simple and allows you to talk directly with Aladdin Connect. With Amazon Echo, you can give voice commands such as:

With Google Home, when you say, “Hey Google, ask Aladdin Connect to,” you can give the following voice commands:

Integration with Smart Home Systems: Brilliant, Control4, And Yonomi

Smart home systems allow you to control lighting, climate, entertainment systems, alarm systems, and other home technologies all in one place using a touch-screen interface or a smartphone application.

Genie Aladdin Connect technology is compatible with Brilliant, Control4, and Yonomi, three of the most popular and sophisticated smart home systems available.

• Brilliant
  Brilliant is an in-wall, touch-screen smart system that integrates with smart home technologies from major brands like Genie. It allows you to control lighting, climate, security cameras, locks, intercoms, doorbells, and your Genie garage door. You can also perform these functions with the Brilliant app.
  
• Control4
  Control4 is one of the most technologically advanced home automation brands. Their newest system includes an in-wall touch screen, handheld remote, app access, and voice control. It syncs with over 13,500 third-party products, including Genie openers.
  
• Yonomi
  The Yonomi app allows you to bring all your smart home devices together in one user-friendly interface. It also lets to build personalized “routines” that simplify your life. For example, you can create an “arrived home” routine that, at the press of a button, will close your garage door, lock your front door and adjust the indoor temperature.
  
  

Genie Aladdin Connect and Your Smartphone

Garage door openers with Aladdin Connect technology can sync up to your smartphone via wi-fi connection. With the Aladdin Connect smartphone app, you can perform a number of actions, including:

• Open and close your garage door from a distance
• Verify whether your garage door is open or closed
• Receive alerts when your garage door is opened

In addition, you can give “virtual keys” to trusted individuals (such as a dog walker, contractor, or short-term renter) to grant them access to your garage for a specific timeframe (for example, from December 1 to 3 or every Wednesday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.).

You can also create “rules” that ensure that your garage door will automatically close when left open — or, alternatively, that you’re notified if it’s open. Here are a few types of rules you can make:

• If Aladdin Connect finds DOOR 1 to be open between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, please close it
• If Aladdin Connect finds that DOOR 1 has been open for longer than 1 hour on any day of the week, please notify me
• If Aladdin Connect finds that DOOR 1 has been operated by “Jessica” through the app on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, please notify me
