What Your Warranty Covers

Understanding what is and isn't covered by your warranty is very important and can help you avoid any surprises down the road. All products and services provided by Creative Door Services are warrantied to the original customer against the following:

  • Installation Defects:

For one year after the installation of your garage door or garage door system, your warranty protects you against defects resulting from Creative Door installation labour.

  • Service or Repair Defects:

If you experience defects within 30 days of service or a repair performed by Creative Door, you'll be covered under your warranty for the same issue in which service or repair was performed.

  • Garage Door Part Defects:

Service and repair parts are warranted against defects for 90 days from the date that you purchased them.

  • Missing Parts or Hardware:

If you receive your order and are missing parts or hardware, we'll replace them if notified within five business days of the receipt of your order.

What Your Warranty Doesn't Cover

Familiarizing yourself with what kinds of issues or actions aren't covered can help you ensure your warranty remains valid.

  • Normal Wear and Tear

Over time, your garage door or garage door system may begin to wear out from frequent use and exposure to the elements. Issues resulting from normal wear and tear are not covered under your warranty.

  • Damage Caused by Others

If your garage door or garage door system are damaged by work performed by anyone other than Creative Door, or are deliberately damaged, replacement and/or repair will not be covered under your warranty.

  • Misuse of Products/Modifications

Your warranty doesn't cover using products purchased from Creative Door in areas or under circumstances that are against the recommendations of Creative Door or the manufacturer.

  • Failure to Perform Preventative/Planned Maintenance

Not only does regular maintenance by a service professional help to reduce your long-term repair expenses and ensure a safe environment for you and your family, it can also help you maintain a valid warranty. Failure to perform regular maintenance on your garage door or garage door system can void your warranty in the event that something breaks or needs repair.

  • Customer Applied Paint or Exposure to Corrosive Substances

If you're thinking about staining or painting your garage door, it could void your warranty. Speak with your Creative Door representative to find out more details.

  • Natural Damage

While extreme weather is out of your control, Creative Door doesn't cover any resulting damage under our limited warranty.
