After having three springs break over the lifetime of his door, Fred contacted his friends at Creative Door to find out why. The answer was simple: the operator wasn't able to lift the added weight of Fred's do-it-yourself insulation job.
After 15 years with their original door, the Schultes were ready for an upgrade. They opted for a metal Wayne Dalton door and even traded in their old chain operator for a rubber belt drive. To be sure he didn't run into the same problem with the door's springs, Fred took Creative Door's advice and chose a door that was professionally insulated.
